The design of the book was ordered by Dániel Szalkai, a doctoral student of the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design. The book was created in the framework of the National Excellence Programme. MAACRAFT is a social enterprise that empowers individuals with autism and other disabilities by providing meaningful employment through handcrafted design and production. Their goal is to foster inclusivity, skill development, and sustainable craftsmanship, creating high-quality, environmentally conscious products. In keeping with the spirit of the enterprise, I chose blue to represent autism as the colour of the publication, with brown as a complementary colour. The hand-stitched look of the book is a true reflection of MAACRAFT’s values: handicraft, uniqueness, quality and substainability.
